Breaded Fish
This recipe fits into the Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) Protocol under reintroduction stage 1 or 2, depending on the seasoning used. If you want it to fit into reintroduction stage 1 use dried dill weed. For reintroduction stage 2 use Dill Pickle Seasoning
Don’t forget your homemade Tartar Sauce
Equipment:
Shallow dish
Whisk or fork
Meat thermometer
Skillet
Stove or hotplate
Ingredients:
2 Fish Filets
Lemon juice or Water
1 TBSP Cassava Flour
2 tsp Tapioca Starch or Arrowroot
Salt, to taste
Seasoning, to taste
Cooking oil or Tallow
Instructions:
In a shallow dish mix together the flour, starch & seasoning
Lightly dampen the fish with lemon juice or water
Coat the fish thoroughly on all sides
Heat up a large skillet & add your cooking oil
Cook the fish for about 4 minutes a side, depending on thickness.
Fry the fish until it reaches an internal temperature of 145F when a meat thermometer is inserted into the thickest part of the fish
Serve along side your favorite vegetables & tartar sauce
