Honey Garlic Chicken Marinade

This marinade fits into the elimination phase of the Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) Protocol

Equipment:

  • Mixing bowl with cover

  • Measuring cups & spoons

  • Whisk

Ingredients:

Chicken, any cut you prefer

¼ cup Olive OR Avocado Oil

¼ cup Coconut Aminos

¼ cup Raw Honey

1 tsp Garlic Powder

½ tsp Dried Ginger

½ tsp Dried Turmeric

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl combine the oil, aminos & honey mixing well

  2. Add in your seasonings & mix until well combined

  3. Place your chicken in the bowl being sure to thoroughly coat your chicken with the marinade

  4. Marinade your chicken for 1 hour or more being sure to stir periodically

  5. Cook your chicken at 350F, flipping once. The amount of time it takes will depend on what cut of chicken you’re using. The chicken will be done when a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 160-165F

Notes:

  • You could use fresh garlic, ginger & turmeric instead of the dried versions. I like to sometimes use my honey ferments in this recipe instead of the spices
